Ten years later, they were on a balcony again.
Different building.
Better wine.
Same view of the city.
Sienna leaned on the railing.
“Do you realise,” she said, “how many men we’ve classified?”
Ava laughed.
“You classified.”
“Field research,” Sienna corrected.
A comfortable silence settled between them.
The city hummed below.
“Do you ever think we were ridiculous?” Sienna asked.
“With the taxonomy?”
“With the Black Knight.”
Ava thought about it.
“Not really.”
Sienna raised an eyebrow.
“You still believe in him?”
Ava smiled.
“I believe in recognising him.”
Sienna studied her for a moment.
Then slowly reached for her phone.
Ava noticed.
“Oh no.”
Sienna opened the Notes app.
“One last entry.”
She typed for a moment, then turned the screen toward Ava.
**The Black Knight – Midnight Edition**
steady, present, calm.
Weather Pattern
**Midnight Calm 🌙**
Sienna closed the app.
“We found him.”
“No storms,” she added.
Ava looked out over the quiet city.
“No.”
For a moment she said nothing.
Then she smiled.
“There you are.”
Sienna whispered.
“Under our noses the whole time.”
“Train Guy.”
Taxonomy update.
**One last entry**
The Black Knight exists.
But you have to believe.
☕️ The taxonomy worked. Research ongoing.
