Another one of Ava’s.

This one had a way with words. They rolled off his tongue easily, gathering attention as they went… especially hers.

A cheeky smile. Effortless charisma.

The kind of man who could make everyone in the room feel like the most interesting person there.

Ava bought that.

“He sent a voice note at sunrise,” she said dreamily. “And a really thoughtful text. He missed me.”

Sienna raised an eyebrow.

“That’s either romantic… or deeply rehearsed.”

“You’re being cynical.”

“No,” Sienna said calmly. “I’m observant.”

The Charmer mirrored Ava’s wit, matched her banter, laughed exactly where her timing landed.

He looked at her like she’d already been chosen.

With him, the world felt glossy.

“He made you feel special,” Sienna said.

Ava shrugged.

“Some people don’t need to perform it.”

Sienna nodded.

“He’s very shiny,” Sienna observed cautiously.

“Shiny can be substantial,” Ava argued.

It wasn’t.

Because the moment depth entered the room… real questions, emotional history, uncomfortable honesty… he redirected with a grin.

Charm worked beautifully on the surface.

But anything heavier simply… slid off.

“He’s done this before,” Sienna said quietly.

And then, as if summoned by some cosmic career fairy, a glittering opportunity appeared elsewhere.

He left like mist.

“That’s not substantial, Ava,” Sienna said. “He practically evaporated.”

That night, a sudden gust slammed the balcony door so hard they both jumped.

They stared at it.

“…Rude,” Sienna muttered.

She closed the Notes app.
