Some relationships arrive like storms.
Others arrive quietly, carrying their damage in plain sight.

Someone sincere.
Someone wounded.

Another entry for the Black Knight Taxonomy.
Today’s classification: **The Wounded.**
He was gentle. Shadowed. Intense in a way that made Ava’s empathy bloom instinctively.
“You’re my life raft,” he once told her.
Healing was the main event.
His pain… the gravitational centre.
Ava slowly became support cast in his redemption arc.
“You are not a sanctuary,” Sienna said softly.
“You are a woman.”
“He needs me, Sienna.”
“You have needs too.”
“Life isn’t always about that,” Ava insisted.
Sienna tilted her head.
“And you’re not his rehabilitation centre.”
There was something haunting about this one.
“He’s broken,” Ava said quietly.
“Vulnerable.”
“And what do you feel?” Sienna asked.
Ava thought about it.
“Purposeful.”
Sienna nodded slowly.
“Ava… you’ve become his stabilising force.”
Ava listened.
“You’re orbiting his healing,” Sienna continued gently.
“It isn’t mutual growth.”
Ava exhaled.
“I’m his confidante,” she said finally.
“His emotional anchor. His quiet rescuer.”
“You should probably invoice him,” Sienna said lightly.
Ava laughed.
“The train guy doesn’t need rescuing.”
Then paused.
“I didn’t notice the fog.”
Sienna opened her Notes app.
“Love can’t be built on repair work.”
